Multiple Choice Questions

  1. Draw a line through each answer which you eliminate. (See example under #5 below.)

  2. Insure that the grammatical structure of the question agrees with your choice.

  3. Read all choices. Even if the first answer seems correct, another choice may be better, or “all of the above” may be the correct response.

  4. If you are at a complete loss, and there is no penalty for guessing, choose the longest answer—especially on teacher-made exams.

  5. When opposite statements appear in a question, one of the statements is often correct.
