Chapter 2. The Seismic Shift > Hold on to Your Values

Hold on to Your Values

Self-knowledge requires honesty and patience with yourself as you grow and change and learn. Know who you are and what matters to you so that you can decide where you best fit and how you can impress your working life with your personal values. You will live a stable and confident life if you are most true to yourself. If you are able to be consistent with your values, through the good times and even more in times of turmoil, your value to a company will grow, your sense of purpose and fulfillment will grow, and you will sleep better at night. A value match between you and the company you work for will make a huge, positive difference in your enjoyment quotient. We will discuss ways to investigate company and leadership values in Part II.
