Applications in Work/Organizational Situations

Systematic attempts to apply self-leadership methods to work organizations are still at a relatively early stage of development. Nonetheless, examples of innovative applications are available that indicate a great deal of promise. These examples can be found across a wide range of organizational positions, including uniquely autonomous jobs that are particularly suited for and in need of self-leadership (e.g., salespersons, dentists, medical doctors, auditors, college professors and elementary and high school teachers), managers in organizations, and nonmanagement workers. Some of these applications will be discussed briefly to reflect the progress that has been made, as well as the vast potential for the future.
