Rotating Objects

Anytime you want to rotate an object or a group of objects within a drawing, you will want to use the Rotate command. This is typically used when an object is placed in the drawing and then needs to be rotated into a different position or angle, such as the rotation of a new building on a site plan or furniture on a furniture plan. One of the more common ways to access the command is to select the Rotate button from the Modify toolbar, shown in Figure 8.1. You are prompted to select the object or objects you want to rotate, as well as to select a base point from which the objects are rotated about. You then supply the angle you want the items to be rotated either by typing the value or by dragging the crosshairs to the desired angle.
