The amount of detail of the file you want to output will determine the resolution of a DWF file. Although a medium resolution setting will work for most files, the higher the amount of detail needed, the higher the resolution you will want. A higher resolution results in a larger compressed DWF file. The lower the resolution, the smaller the file size. By default, DWF files are automatically compressed, which does not result in a loss of data.
To set the resolution of a DWF file, select Plot from the File pull-down menu. Choose the ePlot plotter configuration from the Plotter Configuration Name list, and then select the Properties button. Click Custom Properties from the Device and Document Settings tree list, which displays a Custom Properties button. Selecting this button opens the DWF Properties dialog box, shown in Figure 19.11.
