Chapter 19. Internet Publishing > Drawing Web Format

Drawing Web Format

Using the WHIP!™4.0 plug-in from Autodesk with a browser, you can save AutoCAD drawing files in a format that allows users to view a drawing file without the need for AutoCAD or the actual drawing file itself. To do this, you must first save the original drawing file in DWF format. To save a drawing as a DWF file, you must use the AutoCAD Plot command, using the new ePlot (or electronic plot) feature. The Plot command can be accessed from the File pull-down menu or the Standard toolbar. The Plot dialog box is shown in Figure 19.10.

Figure 19.10. The Plot dialog box contains plot configurations for DWF files, which allow you to create "electronic plots" that can be viewed over the Internet.
