Chapter 13. Hatching > Using Polylines to Create Boundaries

Using Polylines to Create Boundaries

The ray-casting technique to determine a boundary is also used by the Boundary command. Rather than place a hatch pattern within the newfound boundary, this command creates a polyline at the boundary. This command is useful in creating polylines that are formed by the boundary made up of multiple objects.

This command is accessed by selecting the Boundary option from the Draw pull-down menu, or by typing Boundary at the command line. This opens the Boundary Creation dialog box shown in Figure 13.23.
