From the CD, copy the folder named project17 to your computer. On your computer, create a folder called mywork17 or something similar in which to save your work. From the project17 folder, open the template ­ templt17. In your new mywork17 folder, re-save the template as myproj17 or something similar. The assignment In the previous project we used the Time and Pitch Machine to alter the pitch of an audio file. In this project we will use the same file, but this time slow it down without altering the pitch. It's easy. Follow these steps: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Double-click on the Audio Region named altosax.1 to open the Sample Editor. In the Sample Editor ­ open the Time and Pitch Machine [Factory > Time and Pitch Machine ...]. Scroll the Destination tempo down to 177 bpm. That's a reduction of 20 bpm. Press the Process and Paste button. Save Song ­ compare to project17/17.1. So simple! The new, stretched version is on Track 2. Scroll the tempo to 177 bpm and it will shrink to size!
