Chapter 4. Working with Projects

As I mentioned in Chapter 2, a project is SONAR’s way of representing a song or any other musical body of work. A project holds all your music data, including MIDI and/or audio, along with a number of program settings. You can’t do anything in SONAR without first creating a new project or opening an existing one. In this chapter, I’m going to talk all about projects. This chapter will do the following:

  • Teach you to open an existing project

  • Explain how to create a new project

  • Show you how to create your own templates

  • Tell you how to save a project
