Filtering MIDI Input

MIDI instruments are capable of sending a wide variety of messages. Sometimes these messages aren't entirely necessary, but even so they take up space in the MIDI "pipeline." In extreme cases these extraneous messages can clog things up and disrupt playback. Although you can always select and delete the data after it has been recorded, it's often more efficient to prevent them from being recorded in the first place. This is the purpose of SONAR's MIDI Input filter.
