Here's an example of how you would use the Output knob: 1. Use the Patch Browser to locate the Perc Set A.sxt patch in the Percussion folder of the Orkester Sound Bank. Load it and you will see that there are many sampled instruments here, including bass drum, snare, toms, castanets, cowbell, and a gong. Select all three bass drums by clicking on its Group column. Notice that the Output is set to 1-2, which are the main outputs of the NN-XT. Select the snare samples by clicking on the appropriate Group column. Set the output of the snare samples to 3-4. Select the Tom samples by clicking on the appropriate Group column. Set the output to 5-6. Repeat this for all of the other grouped samples until they all have their own outputs. 2. 3. 4. 5.
