Operation of Audiosuite Plug-Ins

To operate an Audiosuite plug-in, you must first select one or more regions to process. Then you can open up an Audiosuite plug-in window, as shown in Figure 7.1. Clicking the preview button will cycle a portion of the region you selected first, so that you may adjust parameters of the plug-in while listening to the results. You will only be able to hear that one portion of audio. The amount of this portion you hear is determined by the Audiosuite buffer setting, which can be found by selecting Setups > Preferences > Processing to access the Pro Tools Preferences for Processing. There you will find five options for the Audiosuite Buffer Size, ranging from mini to jumbo. Larger buffer settings will allow you to preview long portions of your selected audio in order to adjust parameters. Once you have made any adjustments to the plug-in’s parameters, you have several options for processing the file.
