WHAT TO EXPECT FROM GARAGEBAND ON YOUR MAC

Turning a computer into a musical instrument and recording studio is very processor intensive. While most people tend not to read the system requirements too closely, with GarageBand, you need to take the system requirements very seriously.

If you have a G3-powered Mac you can only expect four or five Real Instrument tracks before running into the dreaded Unable to Continue error message. While this may serve as a viable alternative to the horribly noisy cassette 4-track port-a-studios that many garage bands still use, it is hardly a 32-track super studio that many users expect.
