Using the Track Mixer Volume Slider

You may be tempted to use the volume slider in the track mixer to an input that's also connected to another track that you have enabled for recording.adjust the track's level to compensate for clipping. While recording, however, it's far better to leave the track's volume slider at its 0 dB (zero decibel, or neutral) level and adjust the signal level at an earlier point in the signal path, usually in the audio interface.
