Using the Track Level Meters

The track level meters indicate signal volume levels with a row of colored lights. Low signals activate only a few lights; high signals make the meter light up all the way across. When the signal hits a momentary peak, the light farthest to the right that was activated stays illuminated for an instant longer than the others (Figure 6.10), helping you monitor the general strength of the signal without having to pay attention to every tiny fluctuation in the meters.
