What You've Learned

  • A driver tells Logic how to communicate with your system's audio interfaces, and you select your audio driver from Logic's Audio Drivers Preferences pane (accessed by choosing Audio > Audio Hardware & Drivers).

  • The Audio Configuration window lists all the audio channels available to Logic (Logic Pro only).

  • To access an audio channel, you must first assign it to an Audio Object.

  • Audio Objects provide the graphic interface for audio channels and look like the channel strips on any hardware mixing console.

  • Audio Objects should be kept on their own Audio layer in the Environment. This makes them easy to locate when needed.

  • Lock your Autoload Song so that you don't accidentally save unwanted changes.
