What You've Learned

  • To open a floating toolbox directly under a pointer, press the Escape key.

  • Pressing the Command key gives you access to a secondary tool. To set the secondary tool, press Command and select a tool from the toolbox.

  • The Transport's Bar Position display let's you enter bar, beat, division, and tick values that control precise placement of the SPL.

  • The Transport's position slider offers a fast way to move the SPL around your song.

  • DSP plug-ins are added to the channel strip's Insert slots.

  • Channel Strip settings are plug-ins that combine to make a certain sound.

  • The plug-in window's Channel Strip Settings menu holds default plug-in settings.

  • Audio Instrument tracks are special tracks that let you play Logic's internal synthesizers (called Audio Instruments).

  • Audio Instruments are inserted via the Input slot of an Audio Instrument channel.

  • Logic can directly bounce AIFF, WAV, and SDII files at 16 or 24 bits, and at any common sampling rate.
