Using Clips

In the context of multitrack audio in Audition, you can think of a clip as a piece of audio that exists within a track.

It's easy to select clips and move them or align them with each other. You can even split clips into smaller clips, and you can reconnect them later if you like. You can time-stretch a clip to change its length without affecting pitch. You can insert an empty audio clip into a track or session as a placeholder. To make it easier to identify and manipulate more than one clip at a time, you can create clip groups. For example, you can create a group of clips that contains all the percussion parts in a session. Clips in a group appear in a different color and with a clip group icon.
