Chapter 6. Using Effects > Using and Creating Presets

Using and Creating Presets

Some of the effects in Audition allow you to use and create presets, which can store frequently used settings for later access. The program installs a number of its own presets by default; you can use these or come up with your own. You can always preview effects, and you can remove any effect you apply by using the Undo command. Feel free to experiment until you find the setting you want.

In the following examples, I use the Amplify/Fade effect to illustrate how presets work. First I apply one of the program's default presets to fade out the end of an audio clip that's open in Edit view, and then I show you how to create a custom preset of your own. Finally, I explain how to modify or delete an existing preset.
