Chapter 6. Using Effects > Configuring Effects

Configuring Effects

Almost all the effects in Audition are con figurable, which means that you don't just apply them—you tell Audition how, when, and where to apply them and to what degree. You configure some effects with a scrubber bar, some by changing numerical settings, and others by manipulating graphs. You can configure effects for specific, one-time uses or, in some cases, create preset configurations that will be applied each time you use a given effect.

Once you know what the effects are and have mastered the controls for fine-tuning them, you will know how to use effects in Audition. Keep in mind that with many effects, a little goes a long way, so be sure to use them judiciously.
