Copying and Cutting Audio

Among the most basic and common audio-editing tasks are copying and cutting audio content. You might copy or cut to move audio content to another location or file, for instance, or you might use the cut functionality to trim unneeded sections from a waveform.

When you copy or cut audio in Edit view, Audition saves it on one of its five clipboards. Think of these as supercharged versions of the standard Windows clipboard: they work the same way but they can handle more data more quickly.
