Changing Sample Type

As we saw in Chapter 2, the sample rate of an audio file is a value that represents the number of frequencies that can be encoded in the file. You can change the sample rate and channel format (mono or stereo) of an open waveform at any time in Edit view.

If you're unsure about how such a change will affect the sound of your audio, you can preview the change before destructively editing your audio file.
