Chapter 12. Audition for Video Projects > Linking Exports to Sessions

Linking Exports to Sessions

Once you've created audio in Audition and exported it to a WAV file, you can import it into your video project in Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects. But what if you then decide you need to make changes to the audio?

Thankfully, you can do this easily without manually reopening Audition and re-exporting your newly edited audio. The Adobe Video Collection offers round-tripping between several of the tools in the Video Collection, such as layered Photoshop documents exported to Encore DVD for DVD menu creation, which can be reopened in Photoshop, layers intact, for further editing. The same functionality is available for Audition. You can embed a link in your audio from the start that will enable you to call up Audition right from within Premiere Pro or After Effects via the Edit Original command and then edit your audio as you see fit.
