The Project Window Snap Settings

Among the most important points to learn about Cubase are the theory and practice of Snap. What Snap does is quite simple: with Snap activated, when you move, resize, change, or otherwise edit an item, the item snaps to the nearest value you've specified in the Grid menu. If Snap is on and set to Bar, for example, an object in the Project window can be moved only to the nearest bar. If Snap is on and set to Beat, then an object can be moved only to the nearest beat.
