Creating MIDI Tracks

Cubase uses specific track types to record specific types of data. Audio tracks will record audio, automation tracks will record automation, and so on. The default projects that come with Cubase, as well as the projects you create, will often have the correct type of track already available. If not, you can create MIDI tracks in the same way as any other type of track.

To create a MIDI track

1.
Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac OS) the track list.

From the context menu that opens, select Add MIDI Track (Figure 5.4).
