Routing Tracks in Surround

Once you have your surround outputs configured, you can easily route any kind of audio to them. This includes, of course, not just audio tracks, but VST instrument and ReWire tracks. The following task routes an audio track to a 5.1 output.

To send an audio track to a surround output

1.
Open the VST mixer and click the icon at the lower left of the mixer to display input and output settings (Figure 13.8).

For the channel you want to route, click to open the Output Routing menu (Figure 13.9).

3.
Select the surround output from the list.
