Chapter 18. Exporting & Rendering Tracks

Chapter 18. Exporting & Rendering Tracks

When you work in Cubase, you'll spend most of your time working with audio and MIDI files within the program. Sometimes, though, you will need to create a file that will be played back outside of Cubase: for instance, when you want to create a final stereo mix for mastering, or when you want to generate a file that can be streamed over a Web server.

You may also sometimes want to create a stereo track from a larger group of tracks in the course of a project. Once you have a multitrack drum mix sounding good, for example, it may be easier to work with it as a single stereo file. Or you may want to save the output of a VST instrument or a ReWire track to an audio file for further mixing or manipulation.
