Entering a MIDI Note

The most basic task when creating MIDI data is entering a note. The Draw tool in the Key editor makes this very easy.

To enter a note in the Key editor

1.
Click the Draw tool on the toolbar to select it (Figure 6.10).

Using the piano-like keyboard on the left side of the Key editor as a guide, place the tool at the pitch and meter position where you want to enter a note (Figure 6.11).

3.
Click once.

The note is entered in the Key editor (Figure 6.12).
