Chapter 6. Entering MIDI Manually > Global Quantize vs. Individual Settings

Global Quantize vs. Individual Settings

The Drum editor has more Snap and Quantize options than any other editor in Cubase. For example, the Drumstick tool can use either of two Snap and Quantize settings, depending on what you want to do. The Drum Sound list includes a Quantize setting for each sound, and clicking a setting opens a drop-down menu of meter settings (Figure 6.50). You can either assign each drum sound its own unique Quantize setting or override these settings using Global Quantize.

Figure 6.50. The Quantize setting for an individual sound is used by the Drumstick tool if Global Quantize is turned off.
