Changing the Duration of MIDI Notes

A very common MIDI operation is changing the duration of a note. Notes can be easily lengthened or shortened by using the Draw tool in the Key editor.

To change the duration of a MIDI note

1.
Turn off Snap and select the Draw tool.

The pointer will change to a pencil.

2.
Move the pointer over the note that you want to change (Figure 10.20) and drag until the note is the duration that you want (Figure 10.21).
