Adjusting the Quantize Grid

Many musicians think that anything quantized is automatically “bad.” It is true that quantized MIDI can sound very machinelike and robotic, and depending on the kind of music, that can be very bad. Like most MIDI applications, Cubase has many options for quantizing MIDI that are designed to make the result sound natural and not quantized. In Cubase, most of these options are on the Quantize Setup panel (Figure 10.51).
