Automating Mutes

Many people recording or mixing at home don't take advantage of an easy way to improve the sonic quality of their mixes: muting unused parts. Microphone input always has some hiss and room noise, no matter how careful the recording process, and as the number of microphones multiplies, so does the sonic trash.

Cubase has more than one way to get around this problem; the audio events themselves can be edited, for example. A common and simple approach, however, is to automate mutes.
