Chapter 10. Working with Regions > Duplicating and Repeating Regions

Duplicating and Repeating Regions

The Duplicate command copies a selected region and places the copy at the end of the region. Duplicating is useful for quickly making back-to-back copies of a region. For example, you may want to duplicate a measure or two of drums to create a drum loop. Duplicate is similar to the Copy and Paste commands, only faster and more convenient.

The Repeat command is similar to Duplicate, except the Repeat dialog box prompts you to specify the exact number of copies to create.
