Recording Audio Tracks

When you record audio into Pro Tools, it’s saved on your hard disk as an audio file. Audio files are stored in the Audio Files folder inside the Session folder. In Pro Tools’ default Non-destructive Record mode, audio files are protected from being accidentally overwritten or erased. For more information on audio files, see Chapter 2: Software Basics and Chapter 8: Managing Audio Files.

Pro Tools lets you record both mono and stereo audio tracks.
