Setting Sample Rate Conversion Quality

When you import audio files into Pro Tools, you may need to convert the sample rate to match the current session. Conversion quality settings include Low, Good, Better, Best, and Tweak Head. The higher the quality, the longer the length of the conversion process. (Tweak Head can take significantly longer than the other options.)

To set the sample rate conversion quality:

1.
Choose Setups > Preferences.

2.
Click the Editing tab.

3.
From the Conversion Quality pop-up menu, select a sample rate conversion quality (Figure 8.12).
