Allocating Hard Drive Space

You can also allocate the amount of hard drive space used for recording on individual drives. By managing a drive’s recording space, you can help keep it from slowing down as it fills up with audio files.

To allocate a portion of your hard drive for recording:

1.
Choose Setups > Preferences.

2.
Click the Operation tab.

3.
Under the Open Ended Record Allocation option, select the Limit To checkbox and enter a number of minutes to allocate (Figure 6.21).

Click Done.
