Lesson 2. Add Fog Effects

What You’ll Do

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to add fog effects to the scene.

A volumetric effect is a special effect that is added during the rendering process involving a volume of space that changes the look and color of objects in the scene. Fog is a good example of a volumetric effect. Using the Volumetrics panel in the Effects dialog box, shown in Figure 12.9, you can add effects such as fog and other volumetric plug-ins. To access the Volumetrics panel, select the Window, Volumetrics and Fog Options menu command.
