Chapter 8. Modifying Layout Objects > Work with Skelegons

Lesson 3. Work with Skelegons

What You’ll Do

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to create and edit Skelegons and convert them into bones.

Bones are created in the Layout interface, but you can add polygon-based versions of bones, called Skelegons, to an object in the Modeler. The advantage of using Skelegons is that you can precisely place them using the same points available for modeling. It is also helpful to have the bones saved with the object. When you load an object that includes Skelegons into the Layout interface, you’ll need to convert the Skelegons to bones before you can use them to drive animation.
