Chapter 2. Creating and Selecting Objects > Use Layers and Hide Objects

Lesson 6. Use Layers and Hide Objects

What You’ll Do

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to use layers in LightWave and how to hide objects.

You can use layers to divide all the objects that make up a model into separate groups. By default, each file includes 10 different layers that you can select using the icons at the top right of the interface. Additional commands for working with layers are on the View, Layers menu. Using layers make it easy to hide groups of objects quickly, so that you can focus on the objects you’re working on. Another way to hide objects is to use the Hide commands on the View menu.
