Constructing and Detailing Objects 199 Use the Measure Tool What You'll Do In this lesson, you'll learn how to measure distances and angles. The Detail, Measure, Measure button includes several tools for measuring precise distances, an- gles, and center points. Measuring Distance You can measure distances using the Detail, Measure, Measure, Measure Tool. Select the Measure tool, click on the first point, and then drag in the viewport to the end point. The Length value is shown as you drag in the lower-left corner of the window, as shown in Figure 5.33. Figure 5.33. Measure tool value Measuring Angles The Detail, Measure, Measure, Angle Tool command works just like the Measure tool, except you click and drag once to create a baseline and a second time to set the angle. The angle's value is displayed in the lower-left corner of the window.
