Summing Up

As in the last few releases of 3ds max, Editable Poly continues to be the dominant area of new modeling features. With the new Edit Poly modifier expanding the capabilities of those tools, your modeling workflow will be more flexible and efficient. Being able to deform polygons with Paint Deformation offers a new and more intuitive approach to modeling. Although the Cut tool is not a new feature, its improved accuracy makes it more useful. The new Bridge tool is a quicker way of generating polygons from one border to another. And the TurboSmooth modifier saves processing time as viewport performance gets a boost from having a leaner and simpler smoothing tool. Overall, you can expect greater modeling productivity with these new tools.
