Network Rendering

One of the absolute best features of 3ds max has always been the free built-in network rendering capability. This enables you to distribute individual frames of an animation or, now in 3ds max 6, portions of a still image over any number of computers to be compiled back on a single machine.

caution

Make sure you have a clean network with the proper permissions so that each machine can access the machine that is managing the rendering. You need administrator access for the initial setup.
