Meshing Parameters for a Better Radiosity Solution

Radiosity calculations are stored in the vertices and faces of a special mesh object that is basically an exact replica of your mesh so far during the radiosity rendering in this book.

However, that is seldom enough to get a good solution for the calculations. For example, the console sits on a floor that was created from a Box primitive. The only vertices of the floor are the eight in the far corners. The vertices are nowhere near the vertices at the bottom corners of the console, so no good lighting information can be calculated between the two objects.
