Summary

In this chapter, you took a scene with default lighting that seemed to come from no meaningful direction and added lights of your own to make the scene more convincing to the viewer. The objects now have shadows that “anchor” them to the ground and give them apparent weight (instead of them seeming to float in space).

You also adjusted the balance of light with fill lights to simulate the bounced light in the real world from surrounding objects and from the moisture and dust in the atmosphere.
