Creating the Terrain, Water, and Sky

In this section, you complete several exercises that take the traced contour lines, move them into the correct elevations, and skin over the contours with a surface to represent your terrain. You also learn to smooth the straight-line segments by adjusting tangents and to adjust vertices of the contour shapes for a more regular face distribution over the surface with a Normalize Spline modifier.

You then create and position a Plane primitive that will become the water surface for the river.
