In This Chapter

In this chapter, you learn to change the type of animation controller or constraint that determines parameters of motion for objects:

  • Time Configuration— With Time Configuration, you can change the number of frames to control the duration of the animation.

  • Animation controller— All aspects of animation are handled by controllers assigned to object transforms or object parameters.

  • Animation constraints— Animation constraints are similar to controllers except that they use other objects, such as splines in the case of a Path constraint to define motion.

  • Attachment constraint— This constraint is used to control the motion of an object based on the position and orientation of a specific face of a mesh object.

  • LookAt controller— This constraint is applied to the rotation of an object to control the direction in which the axes of the object point.

  • List controller— Controllers and constraints can be stacked within a list controller for combinations of motion control.
