Jon McFarland is the manager of the design department of a national developer/owner/manager of retail, office, residential, and entertainment complexes based in Cleveland, Ohio. His department's responsibilities include the creation of computer graphic stills and animations depicting proposed facilities and the incorporation of 3D models into photographs and videos.

In addition to his primary job, he teaches computer animation to graphic arts students at The Virginia Marti College of Fashion and Art, a small, accredited, college in Lakewood, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.

Jon spent seven years “blowin' stuff up” as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. This naturally led to a career in computer graphics and animation that began in early 1990. He has a degree in mechanical engineering technology, but focuses his energy in the architectural visualization and animation fields.

Jon lives in Sheffield Lake, Ohio, and coaches baseball, soccer, and wrestling for his sons, Zachary and Jacob.
