Chapter 14. Particles and Dynamics

Dynamic effects such as smoke, dust, fire, and rain are often used multiple times in a production. Their simulation in Maya is often made up of several fields, particle expressions, and custom attributes working together and playing off each other. It is important to “wrap” up these attributes into one set of controls so that other people in the production can easily implement them into their scenes, or simply to have them in a library so that you can easily add them to your next scene.
