Final Plan

Armed with this information and any other relevant research, we can construct the final plan. We want to start with a floor plan for blocking that includes a camera position, if we know one. Then we need our pose plan with script and mini-script. Finally, we need any notes that are pertinent to our project, such as lead animator inputs and director inputs.

The floor plan is a simple scale diagram of the stage that you will be using for the scene. You need it to be to scale because the locations of the characters' poses need to fit in the space allowed. Take the time to ensure that this is the case for your animation. Figure 15.22 shows a scale drawing that you can load into Maya for reference.
