The Next Step

Throughout this chapter, you were introduced to Modeler’s functionality through a few brief tutorials. You created objects with primitive shapes, points, and curves. Later in Chapter 17, “Broadcast-Style Animation,” you will create high-quality graphics from fonts. Certain fonts can be shapes such as arrows, road signs, and more, which all can be imported into Modeler. Often, a client will have an EPS or AI (Adobe Illustrator) file of his original artwork. This is an excellent way to import artwork into Modeler to create instant and perfect geometry. If you happen to use Adobe Illustrator or a similar program, try loading some of the EPS files you’ve created using the EPSF loader in Modeler (select File, then Import at the top left of the interface). This is just one more way to create objects in Modeler.
